Configuring your SMDR output

Below you will find instructions on how to configure your Panasonic KX-TD Series to output SMDR to TIM Plus. You will need to do this from one of the Digital Proprietary Telephone (DPT): KX-T7431, KX-T7433, KX-T7436, KX-T7230, KX-T7235:

  1. Press PROG. + * + # and enter your System Password.
  2. Enter 800 and press the Next button.
  3. You will now see Outgoing: Off, press the Select button until you see All. When you can see All press the Store button.
  4. Press the Next button and you should see Incoming: Off. Press the Select button until you see All. When you can see All press the Store button.
  5. Press the End button, the programming is now complete.

Installing NetPBX

The Panasonic KX-TD Series phone system sends SMDR information via a serial connection. To collect the data from the serial port and send it to TIM Plus, you will first need to install the NetPBX software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

Configuring TIM Plus

Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on to TIM Plus as usual and apply the following settings:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. Select the site configured during the setup wizard and clickProperties.

  3. Within the Site Properties window, select Panasonic KX Family from the PBX model drop-down list.
  4. In the Connection method field select No connection required from the drop-down list.
  5. Finally, click on the Save button to apply the settings.
